The Art and Wine Stroll was a tremendous success with the public, Artists, and business owners benefitting. Peppino D'Agostino gave
a fantastic concert and we were much impressed how everyone brought their own seating!
Many people displayed bike art in Main Street shops for Martinez Celebrates Cycling.
Trashy Fashion show using pre-landfill materials to create clothing in celebration of Earth Day was a hoot!
See the magnificent outfits here.
Our President, Cathy Riggs, even came in First Place!
It’s A Date!

John Muir Birthday – Earth Day Celebration
The MAA maintained a mural painting booth this year at the John Muir Earth Day celebration. Our thanks to Dorrie, Donna and Kerre for working our booth!
On behalf of the John Muir Association and its National Park Service
partner, I want to thank you for your participation at last Saturday’s event.
The event is only as good as its exhibitors and you made it a wonderful success. This year’s attendance estimate is 1,600 visitors. And we have heard a lot of positive feedback. We had a nice variety of activities and information that covered many aspects of the Earth Day theme. And we had good participation from the many national parks in the Bay Area and beyond –
Yosemite National Park! Thanks again and we’ll see you next year.
